TECHNOLOGIES & SERVICES MAKE SOA A REALITY FOR MID-MARKET FIRMS

Market maturity, rapidly improving technologies, and spreading service provision make SOA a reality.

2006 appears to be the year of massive shifts to SOA-based services, delivered to desktops, Web browsers, and an array of emerging, pervasive devices.  The SOA market is quickly maturing with: new tools, new third-party services, synergies of growing services ecosystems, software with enhanced functionality, increasing SOA expertise across industries, a growing body of best practices, and greater interoperability among standards and across platforms.  Early in 2004, every major IT technology vendor made unprecedented financial and resource commitments to Web services and SOA.

Notes from our CEO

Happy Holidays,

As the year wraps up we wanted to share with you our thoughts on application architecture as you plan for 2006. We see the need for infrastructure upgrades to be on the rise as SOA becomes a standard method of development in 2006 and 2007. If you recall last month, we talked about a managed infrastructure. Once you have that in place, you are ready for SOA in your organization. We look forward to helping you prepare for tomorrow - today.

Michael
